Mac uninstall guide
How do you uninstall an app on a Mac?
Quit the app first and decide whether you want to keep its settings for a future installation. Removing the app, deleting its data and cancelling a subscription are separate decisions.

Choose the right uninstall method
Open Applications in Finder and look for an uninstaller supplied by the developer. Use it when available. It can remove extensions and login items that came with the app.
If the app has no uninstaller, quit it and move it from Applications to the Trash. Your own documents stay where you saved them. If they use a format specific to that app, check that another app can open them. Cancel any subscription separately.
Tell a cache from data you may need
A cache might contain previews the app can generate again. An Application Support folder might contain a local library, templates or projects. Keep or back up anything you cannot identify.
In MacBalance Pro, select the app in the uninstall tab. The preview looks for specific paths associated with its identifier in your user Library. Read each proposed path. Optional files are initially unchecked.

Understand why some files should stay
Two copies of the same app can share preferences. If MacBalance Pro detects another copy or cannot verify the developer’s identity, it offers to remove only the app itself. Apple apps and running apps are protected.
After confirmation, the selected items move to the Trash. Before emptying it, open a representative document and check you can still find the data you wanted to keep. If you removed the app by mistake, use Put Back in Finder’s Trash when available.
